Alternate Dispute Resolution: DLSA Reasi holds awareness prog at Bhaga village

Reasi: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Reasi, in collaboration with Department of Rural Development, Monday organised an awareness program on Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mechanism here at Panchayat Ghar, Bhaga.
The event was held in continuation to the Action plan issued by JKLSA under PAN India Awareness and Outreach Campaign and under the guidance and Supervision of DLSA Chairman, R.N.Watal.
Panel Advocate M.S. Mir was the resource person, who spoke on how Alternate Dispute Resolution Mechanism is important in providing a very impelling alternative for dispute settlement at the Panchayat level.
Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary DLSA Reasi also spoke on the occasion about the benefits of ADR Mechanism and sensitized the PRI members and persons from Mahila Shakti Kendra, Reasi to identify Legal Aid Beneficiaries as per Section 12 of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 and report to the office of DLSA Reasi so that free Legal Aid services are given to the eligible beneficiaries.
The program was attended by the members of Panchayati Raj Institutions of Panchayat Bhaga as well as adjoining Panchayats and the common masses living in the vicinity of the Panchayat Ghar Bhaga besides representatives from Mahila Shakti Kendra, Reasi.
Meanwhile, DLSA Reasi, through PLVs, also conducted Door to Door Campaigns in far flung areas of District Reasi under PAN India Awareness and Outreach Program.
