Srinagar: A medical camp was on October 23 organized by ‘Forever in Operations’ Division under the aegis of ‘Fire and Fury’ Corps inKargil District. Leading specialist doctors drawn from various Army hospitals were pooled in for the day long camp where they treated the sick and needy from remote areas of Kargil district and provided them on the spot consultation and treatment.
The event was a joint venture with ‘Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Seva Samity’, a Jaipur based Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) headed by Padma Bhushan D R Mehta, Chief patron who provided their valuable services in distribution of mobility aids for the betterment of differently abled persons. Over 500 medical equipments like hearing aids, crutches, wheel chairs and self-employment tools like sewing machines were distributed to the differently abled persons along with medical checkup of sick people followed by distribution of medicines. People of Kargil district greatly benefitted from the camp and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the team of doctors and the Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) for the benevolent action.
