Inception of Bharat scouts and guides (BSG) in BGSBU Rajouri

Rajouri: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri organized an inaugural session for inception of Bharat Scouts and Guide (BSG) programme in the University. Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor of the University in his message said that BGSBU is committed to offering such programmes in the Campus which shall contribute towards inculcating value based education among young aspirants. Prof. Akbar mentioned that value based education now a days is the backbone of every system that promotes social values among community and thus should be promoted at all echelons. Prof. Iqbal Parwez, Dean Academic Affairs, BGSBU delivered the inaugural address. Prof. Parwez applauded the role that Scouts and Guides has played in the formation of Character, advancement of skills, efficient refinement of proper spirit of service that leads to the development of good citizenship.
Prof. Renu Nanda, Dean, Department of Education, University of Jammu and State Commissioner Rangers, Bharat Scouts and Guide, Jammu and Kashmir delivered a detailed talk on process, mechanism, planning and implementation of Scouts and Guide programme in the University, Campus. Prof. Nanda after having a detailed interaction with students further said all possible support shall be extended for effective implementation of Scouts and Guide programme in the Campus. A total of around 46 students who had enrolled for Bharat Scouts and Guides Unit of the University joined the session along with Mr. Haroon Malik from BSG Jammu. The whole programme was coordinated by Dr. Gaurav Sehgal, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies and Coordinator Bharat Scouts and Guides, BGSBU. The session concluded with the Vote of Thanks presented by Dr. Aasim Mir, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, BGSBU.
