DIPR Cultural Wing Jmu organises cultural event in Kote Bhalwal Jail

Jammu: Cultural wing, Department of Information and Public Relations Jammu Thursday organised a cultural Program here at Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Dinesh Sharma was the chief guest of the programme.
The artists of Cultural Wing, DIPR Jammu including Drama Instructor, Vijay Anand; Senior Cultural Assistants, Kamal Kumar; Artists Mohinder Panchairvi, Balbir Singh, Banti Shah, Rajid Bhaderwahi presented colorful program featuring songs on the topic Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.
Jail inmates Gurbachan Singh, Vikar Singh, Gurpratap Singh, Krishan Chand, Rakesh Kumar, Havaldar Rakesh Sharma also presented cultural items which were highly appreciated by the audience.
The Chief Guest appreciated DIPR for holding cultural programs for the entertainment of jail inmates and hoped that the Department will organise more such programs for them.
During the programme, the objectives behind the celebration of 75th Independence day as Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav was also highlighted by the participants.
The proceedings of the program were conducted by Sr Cultural Assistant, Suresh Sharma.
Medical Officer, Dr Poli Devi; Accounts Officer Jail, Nirmal Tickoo, Section Officer Jail, Vijay Jalan besides other jail staff were also present on the occasion.
