Srinagar: In the ongoing Khyber Milk Premier Football League 2021 two matches of Premier Division were on Wednesday played at Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar. The Tournament is being telecast live for the first time by Frisk Film Production on ANN News Channel. Novelty FC defeated Sports Council Football Academy by 2:1 goals.
In the first match Novelty FC beat Sports Council Football Academy by two goals to one in a closely contested encounter. While forward lines of both the teams attacked each other’s goal post from the start of the play, finally it was Novelty FC who took the lead in the 15th minute of the match through Akib. The first half ended with Novelty FC in ascendancy. However, as the second half commenced, the young Turks of SCFA were determined to score an equaliser and they succeeded in the 47th minute of the play when Suhail managed to net one into the goal post of Novelty FC. In the dying minutes of the second half Novelty FC made a brilliant move and Owais of Novelty FC scored a fantastic Goal . SCFA tried hard to equalize but could not. Thus Novelty FC defeated SCFA by 2:1 Goals. The spectators enjoyed every movement of the game. The SCFA team played exceptional football and if they had converted the chances they got, the result could have been different.
2nd Match was played between J&K Bank XI & Iqbal Sports FC which was won by J&K Bank by 2:1 goals. Both the teams played aggressive football enthralling the fans, While forward lines of both the teams made attacks on each other’s goal post frequently. The high speed and the quality of the football displayed by both the teams enthralled the spectators. In the first half Mehjoor of Iqbal Sports opened an account for Iqbal FC in the 25th minute, but the team could hold the lead till 58th minute when an equalizer came from J&K Bank XI through Aakif . The defenders of the two teams were equal to the task to thwart any scoring opportunities, but in the 72nd minute penalty was awarded in favour of J&K Bank XI which converted Bank Team into goal through Adnan. Thus J&K bank XI defeated Iqbal Sports by 2:0 Goals.
In the ongoing A-Division Annual League football Tournament 2021 one match of 2nd Round was played at Gindun Ground Rajbagh Srinagar between Alamdar FC Gopal Pora & Seven Star Football Academy, which was won by Seven Star Football Academy by 2:1 goals. The Tournament is organized by JKFA in collaboration with JKSC.
