DDC Shopian reviews status of works/ target achievements under F.Y 2021-22

Stress laid on completion of all ongoing devworks on priority basis

Shopian: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Wednesday chaired a meeting of all District/Sectoral Officers to review the status and progress of works taken under the District Capex Plan for the year 2021-22.
The meeting discussed detailed proposals under the District Capex Plan, 2021-22 including the physical status of all approved projects targeted for completion in the current fiscal and progress of works under Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
The DDC took a detailed review of all works under each sector and asked the officers to ensure cent percent tendering and allotment of all approved/authorised works is completed within the stipulated time frame.
Besides, he also urged to ensure productive and fruitful utilization of the available resources for the development of the district so that physical execution of works is undertaken as soon as possible.
He also asked the concerned officers to reconcile the works nomenclature and check out any pendency in works to ensure early execution and timely completion of all the developmental works.
The DDC directed the officers to work in a coordinated manner with line departments and work with synergy to achieve development goals well in time keeping in view of the limited working season and to cater to the developmental needs of the district with a focus on creating tangible assets.
He stressed on the concerned authorities to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of ongoing works for their time-bound completion.
He also cautioned that any kind of laxity in completing the works within the fixed timeline will not be tolerated at all, besides, he also exhorted for mobilizing both men and machinery for completing the projects within stipulated time frame. He urged to ensure productive and fruitful utilization of the available resources.
Achievements made under different sectors including PHE, PDD, R&B, Education, Health, MGNREGA, NRLM, Social Welfare, ICDS and other sectors were threadbare discussed on the occasion.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Shopian, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana, SDM Zainapora, ACD, Tehsildars, ARTO, Engineers of R&B, PHE and PDD, Chief Education Officer, Shopian, Chief Medical Officer, DYSSO, CAO, District Information Officer, LDM, and other concerned officers.
