DC presides over a function at Kulgam, listens public issues

Kulgam: The District Administration Kulgam Wednesday organised Mega Block Diwas at 3 blocks of the district viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D.H.Pora to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.
On the occasion, Officers and officials from line departments listened to issues, grievances and demands of the people for timely redressal at all the three venues.
Meanwhile, to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat remained available at Town Hall Kulgam, where he listened to grievances and issues of people for redressal.
People from Redwani, Zradipora, Srandoo, Qaimoo Bachroo, Chelan and other adjoining areas apprised the DC about various issues including augmentation of drinking water supply, desilting of irrigation canal at Redwani and Augmentation of Zradipora HT power line besides flagging of several other demands.
On spot directions were passed by the DC for early redressal of various issues and grievances, moreover several issues were also redressed on the spot.
The DC informed the masses that all the uncovered households will be covered under Jal Jeevan Mission and will be provided tap water within a set time frame.
He also directed the officers and officials of Horticulture to remain available at all stations for technical support of people and to guide these orchardists about measures to be taken keeping in view of the prediction of inclement weather.
The DC also urged people to adhere to COVID-19 SOPs.
Present on the occasion were, BDC and PRI members, ACR, ACD, Dy. SP-DAR, Tehsildar Headquarter, BDO and other officers from line departments.
Meanwhile Block Diwas functions were also held at Devsar and D.H.pora blocks where ADDC Riyaz Ahmad sofi and ADC, Showkat Ahmad Rather listened to the public.
