In the evening, he left for Rajouri along with officers from the Northern Command in Udhampur and the Jammu-based White Knight Corps.
“The Army Chief visited forward areas of White Knight Corps and undertook a first-hand assessment of the situation along the Line of Control,” the Army said in a statement.
It said the COAS was briefed by commanders on the ground about the present situation and the counter-infiltration operations.
