Doda admin hosting Iconic week festival at Bhaderwah

DC discusses arrangements for grand event

Doda: District Administration Doda is going to host grand events on October 26 & October 29 in picturesque Bhaderwah Township to mark celebration of Week of Iconic festivals being held across Jammu and Kashmir under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahatasav.
The Jammu and Kashmir Government has decided to celebrate week starting from October 23 to October 29, 2021 as “Week of Iconic festivals” in whole of J&K.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Vikas Sharma Saturday chaired a meeting of the concerned Officers/Officials here in DC office Doda to discuss the arrangements for celebration of the forthcoming Week of Iconic Festivals.
It was informed that the mega event is being organised under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahatasav on 26th & 29th of October at Bhaderwah witnessing cultural nights and Musical carnival.
During the meeting threadbare discussion was held with regard to the finalisation of venue, decoration of stage, safety and security measures, traffic management, parking facility, drafting list of invitees, lodging of VVIPs, Artists, besides availability of other essential services on the scheduled days and dates.
The DC directed ADC Bhaderwah to call a separate meeting of all the concerned Officers to finalize the events and select the venue in coordination with the nodal departments.
The DC has also directed the concerned to have an alternative plan for the celebration of iconic week festival in case of bad weather conditions on the schedule days, besides asked them to work in coordination for the grand success of the mega event.
The meeting was attended by ADC Bhaderwah Rakesh Kumar; ASP Bhaderwah Abdul Qayoom; CPO Doda Parshotam Kumar; DFO Bhaderwah Chander Shekhar; Ex En PWD Bhaderwah Jawad Ul Hassan Kraipak; Ex PDD Doda, EO MC Bhaderwah BDO Bhaderwah, besides other officials of BDA and Tourism department.
