DC Ramban reviews arrangements for Eid -e-Milad-un- Nabi (SAW)

Ramban: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam Saturday chaired a meeting of district officers and religious leaders to finalize the arrangements for the celebration of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dherinder Sharma, Tehsildar Ramban and other concerned officers besides heads and representatives of religious organisations attended the meeting. SDMs of Banihal, Ramsoo and Gool, Executive Engineer JPDCL and Tehsildars attended the meeting through virtual mode.
The DC directed the SDMs and Tehsildars to ensure all adequate arrangements in their respective jurisdictions for the Eid celebration with due adherence to Covid protocols.
He urged the religious leaders to ensure compliance of Covid SOPs by devotees participating in Eid congregations in their respective areas. He asked them to wear facemasks besides maintain physical distance.
The DC said that Covid is not yet over so the people need to adhere to the Covid Appropriate Behaviour in letter and spirit. He directed the officials of PDD and Jal Shakti Department to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply.
Instructions were also issued to the Health Department for providing health care facilities. Executive Officer MCs were directed to make cleanliness arrangements in the market, especially around the mosques.
The Deputy Commissioner also appreciated the efforts of religious leaders during the Covid 19 lockdown by spreading awareness among the people regarding vaccination.
