Kup admin holds series of meetings to review Distt Capex Budget

Kupwara: The District Administration Kupwara Wednesday convened a series of meetings to review the implementation of District CAPEX Budget of the current financial year under Jal Shakti, Power and R&B sectors.
The meetings were presided over by Chairman, District Development Council (DDC), Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori, while as Vice Chairman DDC, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir was also present in the meeting.
Addressing the officers, the Chairman DDC stressed upon them to ensure timely completion of works so that the benefits of development percolate down at ground level and people feel the difference. He added that people have pinned hope on the present Government; as such it is the duty of present dispensation to come up on the people’s expectations.
The Vice Chairman also spoke on the occasion and stressed the need for doubling up efforts by the field workers to achieve the targets.
Earlier, ADDC, Altaf Ahmad Khan who is also Chief Executive Officer of District Development Council Kupwara, briefed the meeting about activities of the Council.
The DDC Members and BDC Chairpersons present in the meetings also spoke and projected demands of respective areas.
During the discourse of meetings, the engineers of Jal Shakti, Power and R&B briefed the meeting about the achievements of their respective departments.
In the Jal Jeevan meeting, formulation of DPRs under different water supply schemes, status of machine drilled hand pumps and other water related issues were discussed, besides, schemes under District CAPEX Budget and Area Development Fund. While, in the meeting of the power sector, schemes under the Languishing sector and centrally sponsored schemes were discussed, besides, review of District CAPEX budget schemes.
While reviewing the R&B sector in a separate meeting, macadamization of roads under PMGSY and R&B came to discussion. The roads under CRF and other allied sectors were discussed, besides, review of District CAPEX budget and Area development fund were also discussed.
