DC Kupwara reviews progress of verification of MGNREGA works

2 days timeline set for submission of verification reports

Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din Tuesday convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of physical verification of material liability under MGNREGA for the year 2016-17 and 2017-18.
The meeting discussed threadbare various issues relating to the verification and it was informed that there is a liability of Rs.91.45 lakh for the year 2016-17 and Rs.2534.82 lakh for the year 2017-18. The meeting was informed that the verification committee has already been constituted by the Deputy Commissioner for verification of genuineness of material liability.
It was also informed that Qaziabad, Wavoora/Kuligam, Kupwara, Trehgam, Qadirabad, Langate and Mawar blocks have submitted the verification list.
The DC gave a two days timeline for submission of the verification report and directed the concerned officers to submit the verification report within the given timeline without any failure.
Among others, ACD Kupwara, ACP, DS&EO, AD Planning and other concerned attended the meeting.
