Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din Saturday visited Agriculture Engineering Workshop Gushi and distributed 5 paddy threshers among Sarpanchs of different Panchayat halqas of Kupwara district. Chief Agriculture Officer Kupwara was also present on the occasion.
The Sarpanchs who got the paddy threshers belong to Gonipora Hayhama, Pazzipora, Karihama-A, Karihama-B and Gushi Panchayat halqas. On the occasion, the DC distributed allotment letters among the beneficiaries. He directed the concerned officer for distribution of paddy threshers in all Panchayats of the district so that a large population of farmers could get benefitted.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for providing all the latest required tools to the farmer community so that the farmers could increase the productivity at minimum labour cost. Meanwhile, the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for getting the paddy threshers.
