COVID-19 In JK: No death reported in last 24 hours, death toll stays at 4426

Srinagar: Jammu & Kashmir on Saturday reported 82 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 13 from Jammu division and 69 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 330434. No fresh covid death was reported in last 24 hours in Jammu & Kashmir and as such death toll stayed at 4426. Moreover, 81 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 17 from Jammu Division and 64 from Kashmir Division. The Bulletin informs that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported Saturday. On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 1,50,134 doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 12,885,390. It adds that 95.90 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.
In it’s daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), the J&K Government on Saturday said that out of 330434 positive cases, 1100 are Active Positive (294 in Jammu Division and 804 in Kashmir Division), 324908 have recovered (121604 in Jammu Division and 203304 in Kashmir Division) and 4426 have died; 2174 in Jammu division and 2252 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 15297670 test results available, 330434 samples have tested positive and 14967236 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 50,680 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.
Till date 3607561 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7688 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1100 in isolation and 460672 in home surveillance. Besides, 3133675 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported Saturday, the Bulletin said that Srinagar reported 34 cases, Baramulla reported 08 cases, Budgam reported 12 cases, Pulwama reported no cases, Kupwara reported 05 cases, Anantnag reported 03 cases, Bandipora reported 02 cases, Ganderbal reported 05 cases, Kulgam and Shopian reported no fresh case for Saturday.
Similarly, Jammu reported 04 cases, Udhampur reported no case, Rajouri reported 01 case, Doda reported 01 case, Kathua reported 01 case, Samba reported no case, Kishtwar reported 01 case, Poonch reported 03 cases, Ramban reported no case and while Reasi reported 02 fresh cases.
The bulletin further informs the general public that they can contact helpline numbers 0191-2520982/2674444/2674115/2674908/2549676 in Jammu Division and 0194-2440283/2430581/2452052/2457313/2457312 in Kashmir Division for any kind of guidance and assistance.
In case of emergency, people can avail free ambulance services 24×7 by calling toll free number 108 while as pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialing toll free number 102, the bulletin reads.
It also informs that the public can reach national helpline by dialing 1075.
