BGSBU organises National Webinar on NAAC Accreditation

Rajouri : A National Webinar on the theme ‘NAAC Accreditation: Process & Strategies for preparation of AQAR for HEIs’ was organised by Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the BGSB University, Rajouri (J&K).
Prof. Akbar Masood Vice Chancellor Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University who has been associated with NAAC accreditation as the chairman of Peer teams for various Universities and Institutions of higher education lauded the efforts of the organising committee for hosting the webinar on an important theme. In his message Professor Akbar called for a focused attention at various criteria that have been prescribed by the NAAC which are highly objective, holistic and comprehensive and insisted on turning the focus on satisfying these objectives at the earliest possible so that the quality of education in the university could reach to the next level and match with the best of the institutes within India and across the globe.
The Dean Academic Affairs of the University, Prof. Iqbal Parvez, welcomed the resource person of the webinar and briefed him about the University Campus. Prof. Iqbal Parvez appreciated the efforts of the IQAC team for organising such an enriching session and wished that the IQAC will continue to organise such events in future too. The The expert talk was delivered by Prof. Yogesh kumar Sharma, Former Vice-Chancellor of Singhania University, Rajasthan who is currently working as member, State level Quality Assurance Cell, Rajasthan and is also a member of number of national and international accreditation agencies. He talked about the importance of IQAC and NAAC Accreditation of the Higher educational institutes in the current time. He also discussed in detail the process and importance of IIQA, SSR, Student satisfaction Survey and DVV process and suggested the various strategies that HEIs should adopt for providing quality education to the students and for getting higher grade in NAAC Ranking. Around 160 participants across the country registered and participated in the programme. The session was highly appreciated by the participants. The various queries were raised by the participants and were addressed by the Speaker. At the end, the concluding remarks were given by Prof. Asif Hussain, Dean, SoET & Chairperson, IQAC. The programme concluded with the formal vote of thanks by the Convener of the webinar, Dr. Vinay Kumar Sharma, Coordinator, IQAC, BGSB University, Rajouri (J&K).
