DDC reviews status of on-going developmental works at Shopian

Shopian: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Thursday chaired a meeting with district officers of various departments at Mini Secretariat, Arhama here to review the status and performance of various works targeted for completion.
Vaishya stressed upon the concerned engineers to work on war footing basis to ensure completion of works within the given timeframe. He warned the concerned executing agencies about strict action if timelines are not followed properly and directed for submitting the progress report of work done quickly to his office.
On the occasion, the DDC directed the district officers to ensure a prompt public service delivery system, people friendly work culture and ensure completion of all developmental works at an earliest.
He took a detailed review of R&B sector and exhorted upon the concerned executing agencies to complete all the ongoing and under construction developmental works within a stipulated time frame and emphasised them for activating their developmental activities to facilitate the general masses of the district.
Vaishya exhorted upon the officers to provide a responsive administration to the people, based on the principles of morality and dedication so that visible impact is seen on the ground and at the door-
steps of the people especially those living in remote and far-flung areas.
The DDC directed the executing agencies to speed up their men and machinery and ensure cent percent completion of all the ongoing works before the winter sets in and also stressed for providing immediate essential services to the people of the area.
He also directed SDM, Zainapora to be proactive, work with dedication, gear up men and machinery and get all the ongoing developmental works well done within the shortest possible time for the well-being of the people, keeping in view the ensuing winter so that the public may not suffer.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Zainapora, Chief Planning Officer, Shopian, Tehsildar, Shopian, AEEs and other concerned officers.
