Police hosts farewell functions for outgoing officers in Pulwama, Shopian

Srinagar: To bid adieu to the outgoing officers, impressive farewell functions were hosted by Police in Pulwama & Shopian for the outgoing officers upon their transfer from districts.
A farewell function was held by Pulwama police at DPO Pulwama to felicitate the services rendered by the outgoing Police Officer Dy SP Syed Furqan Qadir. Similarly, Shopian police also hosted an impressive farewell function for the outgoing officers upon their transfer from district.
Acknowledging the contribution of the outgoing officers, SSP Pulwama Gh Jeelani Wani and SSP Shopian Amrit Pal Singh threw light on the tenure of departing officers and appreciated their role in every sphere of Policing. Later on, the departing officers were given mementos as a goodwill gesture. All the officers and officials of the Districts conveyed their best wishes to the outgoing officers for their new assignments.
Moreover, SSP Shopian also held an interactive meet with retired Police officers/officials at DPL Shopian in which around 40 retired Police officers/officials participated. SSP Shopian assured the participants that their demands/problems would be taken up at an appropriate level for their redressal. He assured them that Police is always at their disposal and also asked them not to feel isolated as they are still part of Police organization and can approach any Police officer or Police unit at any time.
