Mega Health Camp in Baramulla, Kupwara through Rotary Int’l : Div Com (K)

Says “Mega Health Camp a great opportunity to serve poor, reduce waiting list for surgeries in hospitals”

Srinagar: The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K Pole on Tuesday for holding Mega Medical Camp in District Baramulla and Kupwara.

The Seven day Mega Health Camp is being conducted Deputy Commissioner Baramulla and Deputy Commissioner Kupwara in collaboration with Rotary International  at Baramulla, Sopore and Kupwara during which surgeries of different specialities will be performed by the  experts from outside the Jammu and Kashmir.

The tentative date for the medical camp has been fixed  in the second half of November in which about fifty thousand patients will get treatment.

Patients belongings to Baramulla, Kupwara, Budgam and Bandipora will avail the opportunity of treatment from top surgeons and doctors of the country.

The meeting was attended by DC Baramulla and DC Kupwara along with CMOs & Medical Superintendents of District Hospitals, Principal GMC Baramulla along with MS and CMOs of  Bandipora & Budgam through virtual mode. Besides Dr. Talat and Dr. Jitender Mehta participated in person.

On the occasion, Div Com enjoined on the   health officers to make their Operation Theaters, equipments, medical and Para medical staff available to the Rotary International besides conduct the household survey of patients  with complete personal and contact details so they could be called for treatment on a day  for particular procedures.

Meanwhile, he asked heads of the Institutions to merge their normal scheduled surgeries with the Health Camp so most patients will get benefitted.

He asked officials of Rotary International to project their requirements so the arrangements shall be made in advance.

He also directed for making arrangements for attendants, besides screening, registering of patients and beds. He also directed for accommodation of doctors and other staff participating in the health Camp.

Besides, he emphasized on the streamlining of transport owing to the huge rush of patients and attendants and ferring of severely ill patients in ambulances.

Meanwhile, Div Com underlined that the Mega Medical Camp is an opportunity to help the poorest people of the population in getting treatment and will bring smile on the faces of people.
