Srinagar: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four burglars and recovery of stolen property worth lacs from their possession.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday police said that in a major breakthrough, Pulwama Police arrested four accused persons during the investigation of three theft cases (Case FIR No. 245/2021, case FIR No. 275/2021 and case FIR No. 276/2021) lodged at Police Station Pulwama.
Stating that during the investigation of case FIR No. 245/2021 and case FIR No. 275/2021 three accused persons identified as Bashir Ahmad Sheikh resident of Zafran Colony, Fayaz Ahmad Sheikh resident of Gund Darvesh Shopian and Ab Majeed Sheikh resident of Bore Check Arihal were arrested and on their disclosure stolen property including 01 Golden necklace, 03 Golden chains, 07 Golden rings, 01 Golden pound, 03 pairs of Golden Bangles, 02 Golden ear rings and cash amount ₹7.5 lakh were recovered from different places within and outside of the district, police in the above referred statement further said that during investigation of case FIR No. 276/2021 another accused person identified as Umar Farooq Dar resident of Sumbal Rakh Asham Bandipora was arrested and on his disclosure 32 sheep were recovered, stating therein further that all the accused persons have been shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody.
