Rajouri: Centre for Hospitality and Tourism , Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University in calloboration with World Wildlife Fund-India organised a cleanliness drive at Peer Ki Gali. The event was organised as a part of wildlife week Celebrations.Prof. Akbar Masood Vice Chancellor Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University appluded the efforts of the Centre for Hospitality and Tourism for organising the drive. Prof. Akbar said that it is the responsibility of every citizen to maintain the cleanliness and green areas in their homes and public spaces. Prof. Akbar mentioned that Swachh Bharat Ahhiyan is India’s largest cleaniliness drive which aims to make India more sustainable and eco-friendly for living. Prof. Akbar said that conserving our natural resources, especially our wildlife is among the most significant challenges of our century and it is our collective responsibility to protect our flora and fauna for our future generations.
Dr. Parvez Abdulla Coordinator Swachh Bharat Abhiyan cell BGSBU and Dr. Danish Iqbal Raina along with Mr. Rohit Rattan , Associate coordinator western Himalayas Programme WWF lead the team of Research scholars and volunteers during the day long cleanliness drive. The basic intent of the drive was to reach out to the general public and spreading the important message of wildlife conservation.
