Srinagar: Department of Youth Services and Sports Ganderbal Friday started the Clean India Programme in the District Ganderbal.
The first part of the Programme was organized in sports stadium Ganderbal in which all employees of the department participated and around 50 sports loving students participated.
Around 15 Kgs of polythene and plastic waste was collected from the stadium and handed over to Municipal Committee Ganderbal for safe disposal.
Speaking on the occasion, District Youth Services and Sports Officer said that on the instructions of the Government the clean India Programme will be organised till 31st of October, 2021 at different locations of the District comprising of Religious places/Shrines, tourist places, parks, stadiums, District Hqs, businesses establishments, Panchayats, Hospital surroundings, Blocks, markets & Zonal/District offices.
