COVID-19 In JK: One death reported in last 24 hours, death toll rises to 4423

Srinagar, Jammu: Jammu & Kashmir on Friday reported 133 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 36 from Jammu division and 97 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 329563. Also, 01 COVID death has been reported from Kashmir Division and as such the overall covid death toll in Jammu & Kashmir rose to 4423. Moreover, 138 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 27 from Jammu Division and 111 from Kashmir Division. The Bulletin informs that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported Friday. On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 1,23,423 doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 115,78,305. It adds that 85.92 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.
In it’s daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19) the Jammu & Kashmir Government on Friday said that out of 329563 positive cases, 1339 are Active Positive (308 in Jammu Division and 1031 in Kashmir Division), 323801 have recovered and 4423 have died; 2173 in Jammu division and 2250 in Kashmir division. The Bulletin further said that out of 14905355 test results available, 329563 samples have tested positive and 14575792 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 50,979 COVID tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours.
Till date 3555108 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7162 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1339 in isolation and 463411 in home surveillance. Besides, 3078773 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported Friday, the Bulletin said that Srinagar reported 57 cases, Baramulla reported 07 cases, Budgam reported 14 cases, Pulwama reported no case, Ganderbal reported 08 cases, Kupwara reported 03 cases, Anantnag reported 02 cases, Bandipora reported 06 cases, Kulgam and Shopian reported no fresh case for Friday.
Similarly, Jammu reported 10 cases, Udhampur reported 01 case, Rajouri reported 07 cases, Doda reported 12 cases, Kathua reported 03 cases, Poonch reported 03 cases while Samba, Kishtwar, Ramban and Reasi reported no fresh cases.
The bulletin further informs the general public that they can contact helpline numbers 0191-2520982/2674444/2674115/2674908/2549676 in Jammu Division and 0194-2440283/2430581/2452052/2457313/2457312 in Kashmir Division for any kind of guidance and assistance.
In case of emergency, people can avail free ambulance services 24×7 by calling toll free number 108 while pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialing toll free number 102, the bulletin reads.
It also informs that the public can reach the national helpline by dialing 1075.
