Srinagar: Police on Thursday said that it has recovered a kidnapped minor girl within 12 hours in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district and also arrested the accused person involved in the commission of crime.
In a statement issued here on Thursday police said that Police Station Magam received a written complaint from one person stating therein that his minor daughter was kidnapped by one person namely Rafeeq Ahmed Malla resident of Kongamdara Pattan.
Stating that a case vide FIR No. 218/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Magam and investigation was initiated, police in it’s above referred statement further said that during the course of investigation, a team headed by SHO Police Station Magam was constituted to trace and rescue the kidnapped girl following which team while acting on specific leads recovered the kidnapped girl from Archandrahama area of Magam and arrest the accused person involved in the commission of crime within 12 hours after complaint was received.
In the concluding para of it’s above referred statement police said that the above named accused was shifted to Police Station Magam where he remains in custody.
