Ramban: As a part of ongoing inter-zone district level tournament, the Department of Youth Services and Sports Department Wednesday organised boys Kabaddi and Kho-Kho competitions for all age groups here at Government Model Higher Secondary School.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma was the chief guest. The competitions were held under the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Dharamvir Singh.
Appreciating the student players for exhibiting their talent in different disciplines of sports, the ADDC advised them to adopt sports as a regular activity of daily schedule for their overall development.
He also directed the sports department to provide adequate opportunities to youth for honing their sports skills.
In Kho-Kho competitions, zone Batote won the final by defeating zone Khari in under 14 age group, similarly zone Banihal defeated zone Khari in under 17 age group and zone Banihal defeated zone Ramban in under 19 age group.
In Kabaddi competitions, the team of zone Ukhral defeated zone Khari in the under 14 age group and zone Ramban defeated zone Gool in under 17 and 19 age groups.
In his address DYSSO Ramban, Dharamvir Singh extended his gratitude to the District Administration for providing necessary support for organising such sports events across the district.
