Srinagar: Hajin Police on Wednesday said that it that it has arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession .
In a statement issued here on Wednesday said that acting on a specific information police party of PS Hajin led by SHO PS-Hajin Inspector Zahoor Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Hajin Sh.Sajad Ahmad- JKPS laid a surprise naka at Hakbara Hajin and during checking suspicious movement of a person was noticed and he was apprehended and upon his personal search Charas weighing about 200 Grms was recovered from his possession.The accused has been identified as Farooq Ahmad Malla S/O late Sultan Malla R/O Yarbalpora Hakabara Hajin.
In a concluded para of its above referred statement it said that In this regard,Case FIR registered under relevant sections of NDPS ACT in Police Station Hajin and further investigation into the matter has been started.
