Doda: Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Doda Wednesday organized a farmers’ awareness camp here at Roat Marmat.
Around 30 farmers of Roat and its adjoining areas participated in the Camp. District level Subject Matter Specialist, Dr Ajay Sharma presided over the programme. He gave a detailed lecture on different schemes run by the Department. He advised the farmers to go for organic farming as it can prove beneficial in a long way. He also answered the different queries raised by farmers.
Sub-divisional Agriculture Officer Pranoo also spoke on the occasion and gave a brief on the schemes run in the area. He assured to fulfill the different demands raised on the occasion.
Sarpanch Roat, Mohd Sadiq spoke appreciated the Department for organizing the event in his Panchayat. He also demanded timely supply of seeds.
Among others present were AEO Khalid Munshi, AEA Mushroom Wasim Raja, Sajad Mir, Pawan Katoch, Sumit Baloon, Jatinder Verma and Amit Gupta were present on the occasion.
