Srinagar: Under the initiative of police headquarters to provide financial assistance to the wards of police personnel excelling in academics, the Director-General Police Dilbag Singh has sanctioned meritorious scholarship in favour of 202 wards of serving police personnel.
The Director-General of Police has sanctioned over rupees 13.47 lakh in favour of 202 wards of serving police personnel who have secured 80% and above marks in the Annual examination of Class 12th during the Academic Session 2020-21 out of Central Police Welfare Fund.
Rupees 6000/- each has been sanctioned in favour of 113 students who have secured more than 90% marks while eighty-five students who have secured 80% and above marks has been given rupees 6000/- each.
During the current year till date over rupees of 1.21 crore have been sanctioned in favour of 2120 wards of Police personnel who have achieved above 80% marks in the annual examination of class 10th, 12th and graduation for the academic of session 2020-21.
