DC Ramban reviews progress of work on Railway project

Ramban: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam Tuesday convened a meeting of senior officers of district administration and Railway authorities to take review of progress of work on railway project and land acquisition cases in light of ensuing visit of union ministers to the district.
The meeting was attended by the DDC Chairperson, Dr. Shamshad Shan; Senior Superintendent of Police, PD Nitya; ADC Harbans Lal Sharma, SDMs, Dy. Chief Engineer, Northern Railway, Banihal and Sangaldan, Deputy Chief Engineer, KRCL, Sangaldan, senior officers from construction agencies including IRCON and IFCON besides other concerns.
During the meeting the DC took stock of the progress on the prestigious USBRL (Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Line) Project besides resolving issues hindering the pace of work.
The DC also reviewed the status of implementation of decisions taken on issues discussed in the last meeting. He directed the officers to resolve the bottlenecks pertaining to their departments which are hindering the pace of progress on USBRL Project. The Railway authorities were assured full support from the District Administration in the completion of the prestigious national project.
The meeting also discussed threadbare various issues related to the smooth conduct of the tour programme of union ministers.
Later, the Chairperson, District Development Council, Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan also interacted with the officers and took stock of arrangements.
After discussing the tour programme in detail, the DC assigned different duties to various district and sectoral officers besides stressing upon all stakeholders to ensure close coordination to benefit the public and development of the district.
