DGP sanctions welfare relief/loan, financial assistance of over Rs.93 lakh NoKs of Police personnel/SPOs

Srinagar: In continuation to series of welfare measures for NOKs of martyr/deceased police personnel/SPOs, the Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh has sanctioned welfare relief and financial assistance of rupees 80.5 lakh. Welfare relief has also been granted in favour of five NoKs of deceased Police personnel/SPOs. He also sanctioned welfare loan of rupees of over 12 lakh in favour of seven Police personnel to meet the expenses in connection with their treatment.

Vide various orders welfare relief of rupees 70 lakh has been sanctioned in favour of NoKs of three Police personnel and two SPOs. This amount includes rupees 20 lakh each in favour of NoKs of deceased Police personnel and rupees five lakh each in favour of NoKs of deceased SPOs. Rupees one lakh each for police personnel and rupees fifty thousand each for SPOs out of this relief was given as advance for performing the last rites of the deceased.
Supporting the families of martyrs by providing financial assistance in connection with their different requirements rupees fifty thousand each has been sanctioned in favour of dependents of three martyrs.
Similarly rupees 12.75 lakh has been sanctioned as welfare loan & relief in favour of seven police personnel to meet the expenses in connection with their self treatment. The loan amount ranges from rupees one lakh to rupees three lakh. The amount sanctioned was provided out of the Central Police Welfare Fund.
Police headquarters under different welfare schemes is providing welfare relief/loan, financial assistance to all the ranks of Jammu and Kashmir Police including the wards of martyr/deceased police personnel and SPOs.
