DC Kupwara chairs preparatory meeting, ahead of Union Minister’s visit

Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din Saturday convened a joint meeting of PRIs and officers to finalize the arrangements, ahead of a tour of union ministers to the district under a public outreach programme.
The Vice Chairman, District Development Council, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir, DDC Members and BDC chairpersons were present in the meeting.
The meeting discussed threadbare various issues related to the smooth conduct of the tour programme of union ministers.
Addressing the meeting, the Vice Chairman expressed his pleasure that it was the matter of honour that union ministers are visiting the district. He said district administration is always providing better services in the district, adding that together all PRIs and administration will put all efforts to make the Kupwara as a model district.
The DC stressed upon all stakeholders to ensure more coordination for greater benefits and development of the district. He exhorted upon the PRIs to prepare a joint charter of demands from DDC Members and BDC Chairpersons, besides broader issues.
The DDC Members and BDC chairpersons also spoke in the meeting.
