Srinagar: As a part of public outreach programme, Police-public interactive meeting was facilitated by Budgam Police at Police Station Khag. The meeting was held while following social distancing norms and other protocols.
The interaction meeting was chaired by SHO Police Station Khag Insp. Atiqullah. The meeting was attended by respectable citizens including Sarpanchs, Panches, Namberdars, chowkidars, Auqaf presidents and union traders of Khag area.
During the meeting, stress was laid on the adherence to Covid appropriate behaviour and adoption of preventive measures to contain spread of Covid-19. Owing to the impending 3rd wave of Covid-19, the chairing officer requested participants to follow the guidelines/SOPs issued by the Government from time to time and spread awareness among the people regarding containment of Covid-19.
During the meeting, participants also raised various issues pertaining to Police and civil authorities. The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal. The participants were also requested to co-operate with Police for eradication of drug menace from the society. The meeting concluded with a positive note.
