DC Jammu reviews progress of works under B2V3, District Capex Budget

Jammu: Deputy Commissioner Anshul Garg Thursday reviewed the ongoing/new works proposed under B2V3 and District Capex Budget including DDC, BDC, PRI components, status of registration of contractors at Panchayat level and achievements of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna- Grameen.
At the outset, threadbare discussions were held on the progress of developmental projects taken up to cater to the developmental needs of the district with focus on strengthening grassroots level democracy.
The concerned official informed the Chair that against a total 486 works proposed under Back to Village- Phase lll, 453 have been approved under RDD sector.
It was informed that out of 453 works, 444 have been tendered, 253 have been allotted, 167 started and 83 completed.
It was further informed that under PMAY-G 5272 beneficiaries were registered out of which 4528 houses have been completed in all respects.
Under the District Capex Budget DDC plan 2021-22, the meeting was informed that 120 works have been proposed under DDC plan, 161 works under BDC plan and 2563 under PRI plan 2021-22.
The Deputy Commissioner was further informed that tenders of 1605 works under PRI plan, 109 works under DDC plan and 128 works under BDC plan have already been floated.
Regarding registration of contractors at Panchayat level, the Deputy Commissioner was apprised that 179 applications have been received so far out of which 61 have been forwarded to ACD office.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed on the concerned authorities to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of the ongoing works on different projects for their time-bound completion. He also cautioned that any kind of laxity in completing the works within the fixed time line will not be tolerated at all.
The Deputy Commissioner exhorted for mobilizing men and machinery for completing the projects in stipulated time frame besides urged to ensure productive and fruitful utilization of the available resources.
ADDC Ramesh Chander; ACD Ashok Choudhary; CPO Yoginder Katoch; BDOs besides other officers were present in the meeting.
