DC Kupwara presides over education conference at Town Hall

Kupwara:: Alexandra Secondary School Kupwara in collaboration with the Education department Kupwara Thursday organized a conference on “causes and preventive measures for suicidal tendencies” at Town Hall, here.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, the DC said that suicide is a symbol of cowardice and does not prove good for moral health of the society. He sought cooperation from every section of the society for eradication of the menace of suicide from the district.
The DC asked the students to utilize both their time and energy in educating and developing themselves for betterment and harmony of the society.
He urged the teachers to impart the best etiquettes of a responsible citizen among the children, besides teaching regular curriculum in schools so that they could prove themselves as good human beings in different walks of life.
Chief Education Officer Kupwara, President PSA and other religious scholars also spoke at the occasion and threw light on the ill effects of suicide and measures for its prevention.
