Anantnag: The District Development Council (DDC) Chairman, Anantnag, M Yousuf Gorsi Thursday laid foundation stone for Amad-Aishmuqam road in presence of Ex. Engineer R&B, PRI members besides the general public, here.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairman said that a number of developmental works are being executed across the district adding that the involvement of PRIs in these activities has ensured prioritization of local aspirations.
Gorsi also met PRIs and local people in Lidroo and Amad areas of Pahalgam and impressed upon them to bring public issues in notice of the administration for their timely redressal.
The DDC Chairman said the government has empowered the PRIs by involving them in development and welfare activities at grass roots level.
