Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday witnessed one death and 156 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,349.
With one more death, the death toll in the UT has reached 4,415 and 156 fresh positive cases reported on Wednesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 327,296.
Of the exact number of 327,296 cases, 203,917 are from Kashmir division and 123,379 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 156 new cases, 114 belong to Kashmir division while as 32 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 203,917 including 200,546 recoveries and 2,246 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 123,379 including 120,986 recoveries and 2,169 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,349 including 1,125 from Kashmir division and 224 from Jammu division.
With 131 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 321,532 which is 98.24 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 77 from Srinagar, 10 from Baramulla, 12 from Budgam, 05 from Pulwama, 03 from Kupwara, 05 from Anantnag, 05 from Bandipora, 06 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 32 from Jammu division include 10 from Jammu, 00 from Udhampur, 04 from Rajouri, 06 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 02 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 01 from Ramban and 08 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Wednesday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 46.
One covid death was reported at Military Hospital Satwari Jammu.
As per officials figures, 73,311 positive cases including 837 deaths and 71,788 recoveries are from Srinagar, 24,110 including 282 deaths and 23,679 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,382 including 23,057 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Budgam, 15,392 including 15,169 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,300 including 166 deaths and 14,102 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,483 including 16,260 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,687 cases including 9,557 and 101 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,194 including 10,084 recoveries and 79 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,456 including 11,309 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,602 including 5,541 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,087 including 51,893 recoveries and 1,143 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,389 including 11,245 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,134 including 10,874 recoveries and 236 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,686 including 7,509 recoveries and 131 deaths are from Doda, 9,288 including 9,135 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,138 including 7,016 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,801 including 4,745 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,340 including 6,229 recoveries and 97 deaths are from Poonch, 6,008 including 5,931 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,508 including 6,409 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 3,423,411 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 8,418 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,349 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,945,205 persons have completed the surveillance period and 464,024 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 14,090,434 samples are available. Out of 14,090,434 the number of samples tested negative stands at 13,763,138 while as 327,296 have tested positive, among them 1,349 persons are active, 321,532 persons have recovered and 4,415 persons have died.
