Jammu: Animal Husbandry Department Jammu Wednseday bade a warm farewell to its outgoing Director, Ms Vivek Sharma.
Officers and officials including all Joint Directors and Chief Animal Husbandry Officers and their staff participated in the farewell function held here at Animal Husbandry complex Talab Tiloo.
The staff of the directorate appreciated the leadership qualities and developmental vision of the outgoing Director. It was during her tenure that various farmer welfare schemes were launched and implemented across the length and breadth of the Jammu division bringing in the transformation in animal husbandry practices at grassroots level.
During the programme, the officers also highlighted her notable contributions which enabled the department to progress significantly under her leadership.
All the staff members congratulated her on completion of a successful tenure in the department and wished her success for the future endeavours.
Meanwhile, the department also welcomed Krishen Lal Sharma, who took over as new Director Animal Husbandry Jammu and assured him full support and cooperation.
