Srinagar: Hydriya Sports Football Club (HSFC) will represent Jammu and Kashmir in the Second Division League to be played from October 4 in Bangalore this year.
HSFC is the only club in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory that has qualified for the league.
“We want our club to have as many players as possible so that they can showcase their talents at the national level,” HSFC manager Munir Hussain Ghazi said.
“We have been running this club for more than seven years, but so far the government as well as the sports department has not helped us,” he said.
He said that Hydriy Sports Football Club is one of the ten clubs that have been selected to play in this league this year.
“We are conducting an open trial in TRC synthetic ground for the players of Union Territory. Any player can come and take part in it,” the manager said.
He appealed to the government to extend full support to them so that he could take this mission to new heights.
