Let us join this developmental march for making Shopian a model distt: Irfan Manhas K H News Service Shopian: In continuation to the public outreach programme, the DDC Vice Chairman Irfan Manhas along with district administration officials and party functionaries Friday conducted a daylong visit to Diaroo, a village in Tehsil Keegam of the district. At Diaroo, Manhas inaugurated a Health and Wellness Centre in presence of a large number of locals.He said that opening up of this health center remained a pressing demand of the locals as it continued to remain non-operational even though it was constructed a few years back. Manhas also met a large number of youth who put forth their demand for the construction of a playground in the village. He instructed the accompanying revenue officials to demarcate the land for this purpose on priority and assured the youth that very soon the village will have its own playground. Locals of the area appreciated his sincere efforts for fulfilling their genuine demands. While briefing the media, DDC Vice Chairman Manhas said, the people, particularly youth, are connecting with us in large numbers as we are working hard on the ground for their welfare. He said they have started a march for development and urged all to join hands in their mission to develop Shopian on modern lines. “We will not rest until district Shopian gets its due share of development to take it to greater heights," said Irfan Manhas. He also said that youth must come forward and give their innovative suggestions as they play a pivotal role in fulfilling this dream.
