Director SHD inspects key departmental activities in Poonch, Rajouri distts

Jammu: Director, Sheep Husbandry Department (Jammu), Krishan Lal undertook an extensive tour of twin border Districts of Rajouri & Poonch and conducted field inspections and interacted with the field functionaries.
During the two day long tour, the Director took a detailed review of different activities being undertaken for the welfare of farming community of both the Districts.
He inspected Veterinary Assistant Surgeon H.Q Nowshera, Fodder Development Farm, Lam and Kalsian (Rajouri), District Sheep Husbandry Office Poonch, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon office Ari, Government Sheep Breeding Farm Balnoi (Poonch).
During the inspection, he took stock of the working of the offices and reviewed its functioning and asked the officers/officials to work for the welfare of Sheep/Goat breeders of the area.
Further, Director asked the officers to aware the people about employment generating schemes i.e. Integrated Sheep Development Scheme and Mini Sheep/Goat Farms Scheme under Tribal Sub Plan. He directed to conduct regular meetings with the breeders of the areas.
The Director was accompanied by Vinod Khajuria, Deputy Director (Feed & Fodder) SHD Jammu and other officers/officials of the department.
