GPGCW Gandhi Nagar hosts webinar on “Higher Education in J&K through NEP-2020”

Jammu: On the eve of International Literacy Day, Department of Education, PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, in collaboration with IQAC of the college organised a one day webinar on the Topic “Higher Education in J&K through New Education Policy-2020”.
The key speaker for the day was Dr. Renu Nanda, Dean Faculty of Education, University of Jammu. The whole programme was conducted under the aegis of Dr. Sangita Nagari, Principal.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Rupinder Kour (Convener), HOD Department of Education and Prof. Anuradha Chowdhary. The Programme began with the recital of “Gyatri Mantra” by Dr Anuradha Chowdhary followed by the welcome address by Dr. Rupinder Kour.
The Principal highlighted the importance of NEP- 2020 and stated that the policy requires multiple initiatives and prompt actions by involving all the stakeholders in a synchronized and systematic manner. Dr Renu Nanda, the Resource person of the event elaborated on the key points of NEP- 2020 and discussed its worth in bringing about large scale transformational reforms in School and Higher Education.
Concluding remarks were presented by Dr. Suresh Bhat, Coordinator IQAC. The Vote of thanks was given by Prof. Anuradha Chowdhary.
Technical Support was provided by Harneet Singh, JK Edusat Hub Engineer. The programme concluded with the support and cooperation of organizing committee including Dr Rupinder Kour (Convenor), Prof Anupama Sharma, Prof Neetu Raina, Prof Ajaz Ahmed Lone, Prof. Abhinav Sharma, Prof. Ashma Gupta, Prof Paramjeet Singh, Prof. Anuradha Chowdhary.
