Digital technology has set new trends for delivery of public services during the periods of pandemic in last two years and more so in the operation of ration distribution and conduct of online classes for students of schools, colleges and universities. So by all standards of understandabilities digital technology proved to be the strongest source of communication for bridging the gaps between the people be it the issue of online education, delivery of goods particularly medicines and ration at the door steps of people and money transaction processes between the customers and trading outlets. So in a way efficiency of digital technology for easing the process of communication has been established beyond doubt in almost all parts of the world including Jammu & Kashmir and other parts of the country. Finally organisations have moved to new modes of work culture and new work patterns which could give people new ideas of innovation at work places. So the scope and importance of digital technology is unlikely to end even after the pandemic as digital technology is fast becoming an integral part of new work culture in both government offices and as well as business establishments not only in Jammu & Kashmir but in rest of the country like many other parts of the world. To ensure complete social distancing for reducing the intensity of covid spread even after the initiation of the second dose of covid vaccination the use of digital technology for easing the work of people at the work places has become unavoidable. Since Jammu & Kashmir Government has already shifted e-office to change the way of working in government offices, the private organisations too are left with no other option but to use the latest tools of digital technology to change the working patterns for the people at work places in private sector also.
In one way or the other private sector too has to follow a new approach for a new work culture at the work places and consequently organisational working and organisational structuring has to be redefined sooner or later. By all standards of understandabilities digital technology would also change the norms of recruitment in both public and private sectors and henceforth in the fast changing scenario of digital technology the tech savvy people are likely to get preference in recruitments of people for jobs both in both public and private sectors.
