Pulwama: The Department of Youth Services and Sports Shopian in collaboration with 44 RR organised Sports Festival at Batpora ground Tuesday, here.
Athletes from Shopian, Pulwama, Shopian, Budgam, Anantnag and Kulgam participated in the event and showcased their talent on the occasion. They performed with full energy and competitive spirit besides showed great level of passion and enthusiasm.
Championships and competitions of Javelin, discuss, short put, 100 Mtr and 200 Mtr Races, 4×100 Mtr Relay and long jump were held during the festival.
Athletes from YSS Pulwama lifted the Championship and topped the medal tally with 06 Gold, 3 Silver and 07 bronze and got a cash prize of Rs 35500.
