Srinagar: As a token of appreciation of their services to the department the Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh has sanctioned retirement gift of rupees over 38 lakh in favour of 51 Police personnel of J&K Police who are retired from active services Tuesday after attaining superannuation or on voluntary retirement.
Sanction of retirement gift has been issued vide PHQ J&K Order No. 2593 in favour of forty non gazetted, six lower subordinates, and five followers. These personnel belong to different units and wings of the department. Retirement gift of rupees seventy-five thousand each is sanctioned in favour of police personnel from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund at the time of his/her retirement. The gift serves as a token of appreciation for his/her services rendered to the department. As a gesture of welfare, the Police Headquarter (PHQ) has sanctioned over rupees 7.66 crore retirement gift in favour of 1023 police personnel this year so far
