Shopian:Continuing its efforts for Covid awareness through announcement Campaign , Information department Shopian in Collaboration with District Administration and Health Department Organised two days Special Vaccination Drive on 29 and 30 August to motivate and aware the people to get themselves vaccinated to stop the spread of Covid infection in the district.
In this regard, frequent appeals were made through mobile vehicle about following of Covid Appropriate Behaviour, usage of masks, sanitization, hand hygiene and maintaining of social distance.
Meanwhile, pamphlets were also distributed to shopkeepers and people near Jamia Masjids. Simultaneously, people were guided to strictly follow the COVID SOPs and other guidelines issued quite often by the Government.
It is pertinent to mention that District Information Department has started a massive Announcement campaign in the district, started from the first week of August, during which people were provided awareness regarding implementation of COVID Appropriate Behaviour and educated to follow the COVID SOPs religiously.
During two-days Special Vaccination Drive commenced on August 29, people came forward in huge number from various areas of the Shopian district and got themselves vaccinated at their nearest vaccination centres already established in the district at various sites.
