Jammu: As part of the ongoing plantation drive, Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director School Education Jammu and chief Education Officer Jammu Suraj Singh Rathore Saturday visited Govt. Middle School Rattian zone Mirian Sahib to oversee the execution of the initiative.
The officers planted saplings of various types of plants in the school premises along with the staff members and other officials of the school.
The Director School Education highlighted the importance of plantation for keeping the environment green and pollution free and instructed all the teachers and ZEOs to plant more and more trees to protect the environment.
He lauded the role of the teachers and others who organised and participated in the plantation drive in the interest of society and advised all those who were present to take a pledge of planting trees continuously and in the coming season too.
The Chief Education officer, Jammu Suraj Singh Rathore appealed all to plant more and more trees and to inculcate a sense of awareness among the students about the importance of plantation. He appreciated the plantation drive committee members for their good work.
The Principal of GHSS Miran Sahib and ZEO Miran Sahib thanked the Director and the CEO Jammu for taking out time from their busy schedule and gracing the occasion.
