DIC B’pora extends awareness programmes on CAB to Gurez valley

People urged to follow CAB, get vaccinated

Bandipora: On the directions of Director Information and Public Relations (DIPR), the District Information Centre (DIC), Bandipora in collaboration with District Administration Bandipora on Wednesday extended the awareness campaign to remote areas of Gurez valley.
On the occasion, various teams of DIC Bandipora senitized people about covid guidelines and precautions besides informing them about the urgency of covid vaccination.
The teams of officials of DIC Bandipora visited various markets and distributed face masks and pamphlets highlighting the importance of adopting CAB. Teams of DIC interacted with people and urged them to follow CAB to avoid the spread of virus.
The campaign named ‘Tahafuz-Say No to New Wave’- has been launched at various platforms using all forms of media including distribution of posters, PAS, digital and social media.
The teams visited Baktoor, Kanzalwan, Nile, Dawa, Wanpora, Burnai and other adjoining areas of Gurez valley and appealed to people to continue to adopt CAB to avoid a third wave. They also appealed to people to get vaccinated as soon as possible. The teams also visited different localities of Aloosa block.
The District Information Officer (DIO) Bandipora, Jahangeer Akhoon said the different teams have been constituted in the district and multimedia platforms have also been used to appeal to the people to adopt CAB.
Appeal messages of some of the renowned sports persons, religious leaders, social media influencers and other opinion leaders are also being posted on social media to motivate the people to get vaccinated.
During the Awareness programme, the DIC appealed the general public through loudspeaker to strictly follow SOPs, which include usage of masks, proper hand washing, maintaining social distancing, avoiding gatherings and not venturing out of their homes unnecessarily to save themselves and others from contracting or transmitting viral infection.
