Teams of officers conduct surprise inspection in offices of Jammu distt

‘Disciplinary action to be initiated against absentees’

Jammu: Massive surprise inspection was Tuesday conducted in the offices of different departments in Jammu district on the directions of District Magistrate Anshul Garg.

Five district level teams led by ADDC Ramesh Chander; ADC (L&O) Ghanshyam Singh; ADC Adm Satish Sharma; ACR Vijay Kumar and ACG Rakesh Dubey visited different offices to check the presence of the staff.

The ADDC Ramesh Chander inspected offices of Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, offices of RDD, Social Forestry Office, while ADC Ghanshyam Singh inspected the offices of PDD Division 1&3 and PHE Divisions.

Similarly, ADC Satish Sharma inspected the offices of Assistant Director Handicraft and Handloom, RTO, DFO Territorial, ACR Vijay Kumar inspected the office Chief Education Officer Jammu, office of Chief Medical Officer, District Medical Officer, Office of Assistant Labour Commissioner and ACG Rakesh Dubey conducted the inspection of the offices of Executive Engineer PWD Division 1, 2 and 3, PDD Division 2 Gandhi Nagar, UEED, office Narwal District Sheep Husbandry Officer etc.

Similar mega surprise inspection drive was launched at Subdivision level where all SDMs paid surprise visits in their respective jurisdictions. The teams conducted the inspection from 10 AM to 10:30 AM and a total 159 Officers/employees were found absent from the duty.

The District Magistrate said that the surprise inspection was conducted to maintain punctuality and discipline in offices. He also said that disciplinary action will be initiated against the officers/employees, who were found absent from their duties.

The District Magistrate also emphasized upon the officers of all the departments to maintain punctuality in the offices as any kind of laxity with regard to discipline would not be tolerated in future.
