Srinagar: Police in Bandipora on Wednesday said that it has arrested a drug peddler in Bandipora and recovered psychotropic substance from his possession.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday police said that officers from Police Post Aloosa at a checkpoint established at Aloosa Ghat intercepted a person identified as Irshad Ayoub Khan son of Mohammad Ayoub Khan resident of Bonihar Aloosa, Bandipora and upon checking, 12 bottles of psychotropic substance were recovered from his possession after which the above named accused was arrested and shifted to Police Station where he remains in custody.
In the concluding para of it’s above referred statement police said that, a case vide FIR No. 136/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Bandipora and further investigation has been also initiated.
