Govt committed towards redressing public issues on priority: Advisor Farooq Khan

Advisor also meets deputations, individuals during grievance redressal camp at Srinagar

Srinagar: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan has reiterated government’s commitment towards redressal of public issues on priority.
Advisor stated this while chairing a public grievances redressal camp here Monday held at Lieutenant Governor’s Grievance Cell.
Nearly, 30 public deputations and 60 individuals hailing from different areas of Kashmir valley highlighted their demands and grievances before the Advisor seeking an early redressal of the same.
A deputation of residents from Barbar Shah area of Srinagar raised several issues pertaining to improvement of civic amenities in the area.
Another deputation of Health and Nutrition Mobilizer employees sought extension in their contractual services.
Similarly, a deputation of DCPU employees raised the issue of their regularization in the department.
A deputation from Alamgari Bazaar sought repairing of drainage adjacent to Masjid Imam Riza (RA) in the area.
Likewise, a deputation of shopkeepers from Regal Lane, Lal Chowk raised the issue of rent before the Advisor.
A deputation from Dooru Anantnag raised the issue of rehabilitation of left out families affected due to snow avalanche that struck the area of Waltengoo Kund in 2005.
Similarly, another deputation from Katianwali area of Baramulla district demanded construction of a road from Delina via Singhpora upto Katianwali.
A deputation from Zangli village of frontier district Kupwara demanded installation of solar lights in their area.
A deputation from Harwan area of Srinagar demanded installation of water pipes in their area while another deputation from Alamgari Bazaar sought construction of a community hall.
Various other individuals and delegations also called on the Advisor and raised issues and demands related to School Education, Haj & Auqaf, Social Welfare, Tribal Affairs, Culture, Agriculture, Horticulture and Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Jal Shakti, Labour and Employment and other departments.
Advisor Khan gave a patient hearing to deputations and individuals and assured them that all their genuine issues would be sorted out in a time bound manner.
He also passed on the spot directions to the concerned departments for taking necessary action for redressal of public issues requiring urgent consideration.
