Srinagar: Ahead of Independence Day, SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem on Saturday visited various police establishments of the district and reviewed security scenario for Independence Day functions at different locations.
SSP Budgam reviewed the Independence Day functions at Police Station Chadoora, Police Component Chadoora, Police Component Mouchwa, Police Station Magam, Police Component Magam and Police Station Budgam. During his visit he interacted with SDPO Charar-i-Sharief, DySP PC Chadoora, SHO Chadoora, SDPO Magam, SHO Police Station Magam, DO Narbal and other officers. He urged them to be vigilant to thwart any attempt by anti-nationals to disrupt the Independence Day functions across the district. He also stressed upon them to maintain high alert and ensure proper checking/frisking wherever required. SSP Budgam, also reviewed the arrangements put in place for security at the entrances, VIP gallery, parking facilities and area dominations of all vulnerable locations for Independence Day functions. Earlier, SDPO Cherar-e- Sharief, SDPO Magam, SDPO Khansahib and DySP Hqrs Budgam held security co-ordination meetings with respective officers of 53RR, 02RR, 43Bn CRPF and 181Bn CRPF.
